Trekr was conceived while preparing for a trip to Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. We were going to be kayaking for a few days and knew the weather was going to be damp. We looked everywhere for a washcloth that would dry quickly and clean our skin. Cotton was immediately ruled out and our experiences with microfiber were mixed. Microfiber towels are good for drying off, but they are not effective for cleaning. Not finding anything satisfactory in the market place, we designed our own and began testing it extensively. We later discovered one of the biggest benefits of our cloth is that it rinses clean every time you use it. As a consequence, you never need to wash Trekr. I have never had to wash mine and have been using it for over a year.
